Health & Safety Policy Statement

This statement is issued in accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and other relevant statutory requirements.

Langton Hotel Ltd. are dedicated to achieving the highest standards of health and safety, through an ongoing process of continuous development. We do not pursue this aim simply to achieve compliance with current legislation, but because it is in our best interests, in the best interests of our employees, contractors, our customers and members of the public.

The implementation of an effective Health & Safety Management System at Langton House Hotel leading to fewer accidents involving injury and time off work is an essential investment. It is also a fundamental requirement in achieving the successful promotion of a positive health and safety culture within the company.

Langton Hotel Ltd. recognises its legal duty under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 to safeguard, so far as reasonably practicable, the health and safety of all its employees, members of the public, visitors and others who may be affected by its activities and all users of its sites and premises.

Langton Hotel Ltd. accepts this duty, and company policy attaches the utmost importance to these matters, recognising that Health & Safety Management is a responsibility equal to that of any other function of the management team.

It is the legal duty of every employee to take care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions, and to co-operate with management in ensuring the safety, health and welfare of fellow employees

The Langton House Hotel senior management team believe that, given such care and co-operation of employees, it can conduct operations in such a way that accidents and incidents can be reduced to the minimum.

We accept our responsibilities to provide a working environment that is safe and without risk of ill- health and injury, and understand that our liabilities cannot be passed inappropriately to a third party in this respect.

This policy can only be successful and effective with the co-operation of all employees and others. We therefore believe that it is the responsibility of all to perform their assigned duties and activities safely by following the safe working procedures, using appropriate equipment and reporting or correcting unsafe acts or conditions as appropriate.

This policy statement will be displayed prominently in the workplace, and will be made available to all employees. Employees will be informed their responsibilities in matters of health & safety and required to agree to adhere to the policy. Any person who has a legitimate reason to have a copy of the policy can do so.

This Health and Safety Policy will be reviewed annually by Langton Hotel Ltd. The policy review will include employee consultation, a legislative review and a review of new practices that may require changes or improvements to the policy.

I, Edward Langton of Langton Hotel Ltd., have read, signed and dated the health and safety policy. I will make sure the relevant parts of this safety statement, including risk assessments, are brought to the attention of our employees.
